Naya cardigan

The Naya cardigan pattern offers a refined and elegant take on the classic zip-up sweatshirt. Featuring two chest pockets on the front, it looks like a light jacket. Its slightly cropped bodice can be easily lengthened. Three necklines are available: A knit collar that echoes the traditional quarter-zip “trucker” sweaters, a discreet stand-up collar (officer collar) or a small lined hood. For the sleeves, you have two options: a classic sleeve finished with a simple hem (which can also be cut as a short sleeve) or a puff sleeve gathered at the wrist, finished with an optional cuff. The minimalist style of the Naya cardigan is the perfect canvas for any combination of colors, fabrics, and print, so let’s have fun with it!

• Fabric (1,40m wide) :
  • Sizes 34-42 : 1,30 m; 1,30 m to 1,50 m with hood
  • Sizes 44-48 : 1,30 m to 1,45 m; 1,70 m with hood
  • Sizes 50-52 : 1,75 m with or without hood
• Separating zipper : Sizes 34-42 : 40 cm; Sizes 44-52 : 45 cm (teeth width = 6 mm)
• 2 fusible interfacing strips : 2 cm x 50 cm (x2)
• Optional :
  • Hood lining: Fabric scrap measuring 50 cm (with the grain) x 70 cm
  • Flat elastic (1 cm wide): 2.5 x wrist circumference
  • Straight-grain tape: 60 cm

Recommended fabrics : Medium-weight knit fabrics (250 à 350 g/m2) with moderate stretch :
Rib knit, Ponte di Roma (Punto/Milano), Boiled wool or knit wool blends, Sweatshirt fleece, Quilted jersey, Polar fleece…
Some woven fabrics with a bit of stretch may also be suitable, such as stretch corduroy or stretch velvet (with elastane/spandex).
